Divine Intuition

I was informed by a state trooper at the end of the accident that the boy in the car “was probably not going to live” and had “most likely passed”.  I was informed today by the Highway Patrol that the boy did indeed live, but sustained serious head injuries.

From the newspaper, I read that 6 other people were also injured and taken to hospitals.

This is what the red car that the boy was in looked like:

So to fill you all in on more of the story, there I am stopped at a red light in the left hand lane.  The red SUV is in the right hand lane stopped beside Me.

I’m an impatient driver.  I hate red lights.  So I’m usually one to pull right up to the light, if not past it.

But I did not.  In fact, I didn’t even come close to the line.  In fact, I hung back quite a bit.  I believe that intuition is a powerful strength that all Women posess, and Mine is very strong.  I’ve avoided speeding tickets for years – I get a gut feeling that there will be a cop and I slow down.  Inevitably, time after time, I see the officer after I’ve just been flying down a 45mph going 75.

So, here comes this ambulance roaring down the road.  Lights are on, but no sirens.  And it just plows through the red light, without slowing, without looking….nothing.  Crash, flash, crash, crash!!!

And there I sit.  Unscathed, save a cracked windshield.

The newspaper reported that the ambulance had it’s sirens on, and that the light had just changed.  Bullshit.  A cover up?

We shall see.

They say that surviving an accident leaves you with a ferocious appetite for life.  Well, I’m famished and you’re all still on My menu……
